What is Trobador?
We give children in Moscow a reason to learn fast – we get them to perform on stage in English! We’re a group of actors, teachers and native English speakers and we use a combination of drama games, coaching and rehearsals to bring language to life.
Team work – Discipline – Confidence – Improvisation
Our name comes from a verb meaning ‘to compose, to discuss, to invent,’ Trobadors were composers and performers who sang in the courts of medieval Europe.
We enable children to think for themselves in English. Join a free session and see for yourself!
Who are the Trobadors?
I teach drama to help learners to express themselves and push their limits. I’ve performed in plays from “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” to “Grease”, as well as leading hip hop dance and a yearly student recruitment musical. I’ve have taught English to people aged from 5 years to 35, focusing on pronunciation and conversational skills.
I have a Master of Arts degree in Theatre Directing from the University of Kent and I now work as a director, producer and actor. I believe that drama is the perfect way for kids to learn about the world and themselves.
Artistic Director - Chloe
I oversee the programme and performances at Trobador. I learned to act at the Brit School and East 15 – British drama schools that have produced many of the country’s top actors and musicians. I also work as a professional actress for stage and television.
I’m a professional actor doing theatre and film work in Russia and America. I graduated from “The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute” in Los Angeles and then “The Shepkin Theatre Institute” in Moscow. My goal as a drama teacher is to open up the world of acting and show people how to use it!
